“Brookenship” Wedding
Our first southern wedding: the landscapes, idyllic; the couple, beautiful; guests, stoked. Overall, perfect.
We had been looking forward to this wedding for 16 months! Having met Chris and Brooke at a Starbucks on the Upper East Side in NY for a product demo in 2008.
Ceremony was held at the historic Orton Plantation thirty minutes south of Wilmington. Oaks with spanish moss and sun-bathing gators lined the dirt road that led to a 200 year-old church. Azaleas in bloom and sweeping vistas of marshlands made for an inspiring backdrop.
The reception was held in downtown Wilmington at the Balcony on Dock. Downtown Wilmington is an old port-town teeming with history and they’re sure to let you know about it. Plaques on homes and buildings and signs referring to an historic figure are everywhere to prove the historicity of this old town. It’s an old town coming to grips with the new.
The reception was a blast – so fun. Good times were had and picturethis was a hit. Pics to follow.
